Every September, the pediatric cancer community rallies together for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to increase national awareness and raise funds for research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cures. This September, we can ignite hope together that will last all year.

What is hope in the face of childhood cancer?  It could be the way a child’s eyes light with joy when they find a Candlelighters Bedside Buddy in their hospital room. Maybe it’s the bright smile of a new friend at Candlelighters Family Camp. Sometimes its a Support Group where even tears of grief are shared, and understood. Increasingly, it is a paid heating bill or gas cards to fire up the car for treatment appointments.  Let’s spread the word that no family has to be alone in this journey. Together, we can  ignite hope for local families!
