Jasmine’s Creations: A New Business Founded by Candlelighters Family, the Bellingers

Jasmine’s Creations is a new company based in the Mid-Willamette Valley that specializes in balloon decorations and inflatable rentals for events. Jasmine’s Creations was founded by Candlelighters’ family Jarrod Bellinger (brother to Jasmine) and Dana Bellinger (Jasmine’s mother) in honor of Jarrod’s late sister, Jasmine.

At the age of twelve, Jasmine was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and began treatment. During that time, a hospital social worker introduced her family to Candlelighters, where they found a welcoming community, attended events, and shared Jasmine’s journey with others facing similar challenges.

Jarrod credits Candlelighters with providing invaluable support to both Jasmine and their family. The experience also gave him a deeper understanding of the challenges children with cancer and their families face.

He remembers Jasmine as someone who remained “in the highest spirit she could possibly be.” A naturally creative person, Jasmine spent much of her time making paper figurines and drawing. Through Jasmine’s Creations, Jarrod and Dana honor her memory by helping families celebrate life’s special moments and create lasting memories– something Jarrod believes Jasmine would have been proud of.
