Childhood Cancer Awareness Month News

We’re kicking off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with strength and hope!

On September 3, Candlelighters was honored to join the Multnomah County, Oregon proclamation recognizing this important month. Our Program Director, Nicole Ek, shared her powerful story as both a mom and a childhood cancer advocate, and the Larsen family joined in representing the many families walking this journey. We’re grateful for this chance to raise awareness of the challenges kids and families face, and the community of hope that makes a difference.  Join us in spreading hope and standing with families impacted by childhood cancer!

Join Candlelighters’ events and remind families they are never alone.

When childhood cancer turns life upside down, families need more than medical care. They need community. Thanks to YOU, they find comfort in a hot meal at the hospital, relief in financial assistance, joy at a family outing, and a safe space for teens to just be themselves. This September, let’s go all in for hope
