Cancer Ski Out is all about having fun and raising funds for local cancer organizations – including Candlelighters! This year, they celebrate 34 years of serious fun on March 12-13.
The party is back on the Mountain this year for the annual Cancer Ski Out Race and Auction/Dinner. This year teams of 5 compete for prizes at Mt. Hood Meadows, in a race that rewards consistency and teamwork rather than individual speed. Teams participate in a fun competition with prizes going to the top 3 teams. Participants help raise funds to fight cancer with the Bucks to Buck Cancer, a peer-to-peer campaign.
The Oregon Cancer Ski Out is an event for skiers and snowboarders that combines fun, competition, and fundraising with a unique racing format designed to let even novice skiers or snowboarders participate in the fight against cancer.

Since it began in 1988, the Oregon Cancer Ski Out has raised over $1,500,000 for its beneficiaries. In addition, over 400 people take part in the Ski Out each year, many of whom have participated in this event since its inception.
Each year, the event has seen increased participation, public awareness, and corporate recognition and involvement. The event’s success, to date, is largely due to the strong support it has received from local corporations and individuals who want to participate in a fun event that makes a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.
